Skills carry their evidence

Every skill is labeled by where we saw it: verified from real repositories, or self-reported. Same size, same weight; only the label differs.

The short answers

Do freelancers ever apply?
No. Clients describe a project, see ranked matches, and send pitches. You reply to the ones worth your time; there is nothing to apply to.
What's inside a pitch?
The project's full details (budget, scope, logistics) plus the reasons you matched and a personal note on why you specifically. Enough to say yes or no in one read.
Can I say no without consequences?
Always. Decline with an optional reason, or flip off "Open to offers" and disappear from searches entirely; flip it back anytime.
Who sees my profile?
Clients only see profiles that have been reviewed and approved, and your work summary only after you've approved it yourself.
